Tournament format features

VCT 2026: Americas Kickoff is taking place in Los Angeles at the Riot Games Arena from January 15 to February 15. Twelve teams are participating, and the prize pool includes not only cash payouts but also crucial qualification points.

The three best teams of the tournament will earn spots at the first international Masters event of the season — VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026. The Kickoff champion will receive 4 points in the overall VCT Americas standings, the runner-up will get 3, and the third-place team will earn 2 points.

The tournament playoffs will be played in a triple-elimination bracket. Before each match, teams will determine the side for the map pick-ban in a unique 1v1 Skirmish — a duel without abilities, where the first player to take 5 rounds wins.
